Summer is over... the kids are back in school, vacations are over, the leaves are turning gorgeous fall colors, the holiday season is just around the corner, and for most Shaklee business builders... it's time to rev up our marketing efforts. If we don't, we miss out on several important seasonal selling opportunities:
•It's Party Time! This is the ideal time to host a "Holiday One-Stop Shopping" party in your home or one of your member's homes. Send out colorful invitations (or put an ad in the neighborhood paper). Display items in attractive groupings according to product compatibility or price (or both). Add a "Stocking Stuffer" table with lower priced items and sales aids. Once a sale is made, set a date to deliver their gifts to their door. (You can even offer gift wrapping... free or for a minor extra charge.) NOTE: You can even host holiday parties online.
•Encourage your downline to purchase Shaklee products for both holiday and year-round gift-giving as well. Provide them with a list of suggestions: Gifts for under $20; Gifts for women; Gifts for men; Gifts for seniors; Gifts for Mother's Day; etc.
•Take advantage of the frenzy experienced by most people who work full-time and can't easily get out and shop for gifts. Primary targets are middle and upper managers of small to medium-sized companies (the easiest ones to cold call) and independent business owners. Many of these people either shop for gifts by mail order, online, or send their secretaries out with a list and a credit card. If you make appointments to visit them now, catalog in hand, you can be their source for their personal gift-giving needs all year round!*
By planning now, you can sail through the holiday season and into the new year with an expanded customer base and a healthy volume!
